Therapy-Hub UK
Working in person offers a private and confidential safe space away from the hustle and bustle of daily life for clients to work through your issues and at your own pace.
An increasingly popular way of working, on-line sessions are easy to access from all over the country and the world, and feel very safe for clients as you are in your chosen environment.
For clients who can't meet in person and don't like being 'on camera', phone sessions are convenient and very effective.
These are three of the most prevailant issues affecting people today, and can affect anyone of
any age, including children and young people,
which comes as a shock to many,
including themselves and their families.
With the Covid-19 pandemic especially we
have all been through a very difficult two years and many people have struggled because there have been so many issues to deal with and very little help about how to cope. Parents, children, essential workers, those who have had to isolate, and with businesses that have been closed as well as many, many more have foound it difficult to cope and many are still struggling because the effects, once they are ingrained, become difficult to cast off.
Whatever the reason and however long it has
been an issue, at the Therapy Hub you will be
able to vent about your issues as well as
receive information, support and practical
exercises to make effective change for moving forward. You will never be judged and all of the contact and session content is strictly confidential.
Useful for: Anxiety, Stress, Depression,
Over-worrying, Panic Attacks.
Often arising out of stress, anxiety and depression, but affecting life to increasingly distructive degrees, addictions are an issue in themselves and at the Therapy Hub clients are helped carefully to manage and reduce their addictions in a way and at a pace that makes progress but also helps them feel safe.
Even Doctor prescribed medications like Opioids can be addictive and destructive and this has become an increasing problem for millions of people, whose Doctors are now being advised that their overuse of certain prescription drugs, including Opioids, are having a detrimental effect on their patients... who find that stopping their addiction to prescription drugs is as difficult as any other addiction.
You can be helped, however, and the program at the Therapy Hub follows specifically defined stages
so that you are guided and supported at every step. You will be working with someone who is not only qualified, but has 'been there, done that' themselves, so you will be secure in the knowledge
that the program worked for them and therefore it can also work for you.
Useful for: Prescription Medication inc Opioids,
Alcohol, Drugs, Gaming & Social Media.
Chronic Pain is debilitating and stressful,
not only for the individual, but also for
other family members. Affecting your everyday
life, there seems no end to it, and even if
you are operated on or are prescribed medication, these 'answers' often don't bring the
solution we seek, and we end up in
more pain than ever with no end in sight.
There is another way.
The Therapy Hub Chronic Pain process
involves investigating the causal factors,
the most up-to-date neuroscience and the
physical aspects of your pain in order to
begin managing it and reducing it.
Yes, managing it and reducing it to give you
a much happier day-to-day life where
your focus no longer is constantly on
your pain; where it is and how bad it is.
The starting point is the therapist; not only qualified in the necessary fields for this process, such as CBT and Clinical Hypnotherapy, but has also followed the pain management process from daily excruciating pain from several prolapsed discs, amongst other things, and having 3 different opioid medications daily, to being virtually
pain free and no longer on medication.
The Chronic Pain process at the Therapy Hub
is unique, as it combines traditional pain management information and techniques with the latest neuroscience in the field, which is extremely effective for decreasing pain.
Useful for: Chronic pain from accidents, injury, operations, nerve damage, prolapsed discs, arthritis.
Whether fearful (usually described as a reasonable concern taken to extremes) or phobic (usually described as an unreasonable fear), these concerns are legitimate and can become very obstructive to daily life.
Usually caused by something we experienced that has taken over our subconscious processing, some people know (or at least have a good idea of) what caused their fear / phobia, whereas others do not.
Either way, the Therapy Hub has the tools and techniques to guide you through the process for getting to the bottom of the fear / phobia, and remove it, so that it no longer affects you everyday life and you can become free of it.
The process is different for everyone, so there is not one technique that will work, but the collection of tools available, including CBT, Psychotherapy, NLP and Clinical Hypnotherapy all combine well to remove the fear / phobia as quickly and effectively as possible for you.
Useful for: All Fears / Phobias, including dentist, doctors/medical, injections, darkness, heights, flying, spiders, dogs, snakes, being in a lift /small space etc.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects
people who have been party to a serious incident where they or someone else were in danger.
Often thought of as only situations like war,
this is not the case and PTSD can result from
road traffic accidents, fires, combat etc;
any situation where there has been a 'near miss'
or that has been witnessed.
People often do not realise that the symptoms
they are experiencing are attributable to PTSD,
so carry on trying to 'cope' with them.
Unfortunately, this often results in the symptoms becoming worse, usually being added to
by creating anxiety & depression, as well as
'self-medication' with alcohol or drugs
in an attempt to avoid or reduce the symptoms,
self-harm and suicidal thoughts .
In this way, without clinical intervention,
PTSD often gets worse until many/all
aspects of the patient's life are affected and
they become desperate for help.
The Therapy Hub hopes to help people
before they get to this stage, but can help
however mild or severe your symptoms are.
PTSD Symptoms include:
Flashbacks to/ reliving the event; nightmares (to do with the incident or not); inability to sleep; feeling panicky or on edge; feeling emotionally 'numb'; not wanting to do things you previously enjoyed; feeling upset and/or angry (not necessarily with people/things associated with the incident);
intrusive thoughts and images;
physical symptoms like sweating, trembling, headaches, dizziness & feeling sick, panic attacks.
Useful for: Any of the PTSD symptoms above as well as the resulting ways employed to avoid them.
You do not need to have a diagnosis of PTSD to
start sessions, your therapist is qualified to
assess and diagnose as appropriate.
We will all experience loss and grief in our lives and
they are two of the biggest stressors of modern life.
Depending on the situation and the circumstances,
some people cope relatively well with loss and grief, whereas others find it a struggle especially
if there has been a traumatic death like suicide.
You may be feeling like your sense of loss is unsurmountable, or that you will never be able to overcome it. These feelings can be helped and can be overcome to get you back a sense of equilibrium again.
Loss and grief does not only result from a death,
but also other situtaions like marriage/relationship breakdown, or loss of a job/career that you loved.
People often do not feel that they should be as affected
by these situations, but the sense of loss and grief
is the same as when we lose a loved one,
so the treatment response needs to be the same.
Useful for: Loss of a Loved One, Suicide, Loss of Job/Career, Loss of Physical Ability, Marriage/Relationship Breakdown.
You do not need a diagnosis to
begin work with the Therapy Hub.
However, we recognise that you may want or need a diagnosis, or simply prefer to have a diagnosis to provide you with information and enable you to understand what is happening and why.
At the Therapy Hub we have the
tools and qualifications to assess and
provide a full diagnosis for you.
If you book a Free Initial Assessment,
this will provide a starting point of
basic information to guide you
as to whether a full diagnosis would be useful.
Unlike other organisations, we do not charge
additional fees for a full diagnosis; at the
Therapy Hub we complete the process
as part of your normal therapy sessions.
Useful for: All issues
